Would it be possible to get shorter underwires with the same curve if you can't shorten them yourself? I really hope you can fix this.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17409672562802978884noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7553172421381359137.post-50801487700090710712013-07-24T08:49:39.426+02:002013-07-24T08:49:39.426+02:00Oh no! but my solution would have been the same as...Oh no! but my solution would have been the same as the ones you have received already... namely to cut a bit off the ends of each underwires, file off the sharp bits and seal the ends with a blob of something that will harden to a smooth slippery surface. Here in Australia hardware stores sell household sealants that I would use for this job.<br />I hope you can complete it, it looks like it is going to be gorgeous!Carolynhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03156106727490224625noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7553172421381359137.post-58235128047083091982013-07-24T03:25:22.147+02:002013-07-24T03:25:22.147+02:00Your bra is looking so beautiful already that it s...Your bra is looking so beautiful already that it seems a shame to start all over again! I work for a professional costume studio where we make a lot of corsets with cut steel boning, and to finish the ends, we use "tipping fluid" from Richard the Thread. (It's a costume supplier located in California, USA, and you can order online.). I have never tried any of the methods suggested by your other commenters, but the idea seems very similar... Cut away from the ends, file away sharp edges, and coat with a thick paste-like substance that will harden as it dries and seal-off the metal. Good luck with whatever approach you decide!K. But I wonder whether dipping the cut-end of a wire in nail polish would work-?
